Journeys to the end of the world, fantastic creatures, and epic battles between good and evil -- what more could any reader ask for in one book? The book that has it all is The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe, written in 1949 by Clive Staples Lewis. But Lewis did not stop there. Six more books followed, and together they became known as The Chronicles of Narnia. For the past fifty years, The Chronicles of Narnia have transcended the fantasy genre to become part of the canon of classic literature. Each of the seven books is a masterpiece, drawing the reader into a land where magic meets reality, and the result is a fictional world whose scope has fascinated generations. This edition presents all seven books -- unabridged -- in one impressive volume. The books are presented here according to Lewis' preferred order, each chapter graced with an illustration by the original artist, Pauline Baynes. Deceptively simple and direct, The Chronicles of Narnia continue to captivate fans with adventures, characters, and truths that speak to readers of all ages, even fifty years after they were first published.

This book series is my favorite out of all the fantasy books. The books cover different aspects of childhood as well as becoming an adult and teach you life lessons along the way. It creates a bond between family as well especially during times of war and how to stay strong during times of need. The books as well as the movies have a created a magical world that I will visit over and over again.

One of my favorite reads! Great sense of adventure! (May be confusing to younger audiences due to its choice of diction such as 'fortnight' : the commonly used British term for two weeks.)
Besides this, I highly recommend this book series.

The Chronicles of Narnia was definitely one of my favorite series of books when I was around 11-12 years old. I have reread most of the books at least three times which I don't usually do. It keeps you interested all the way through each book

I like it because it is a magical land. Michael, age 5.

My favorite series ever since I was a kid. I've read and re-read this series at least 10 times. I highly recommend it to anyone who enjoys fantasy!

The books of my childhood. Seriously! I grew up with these, and then graduated to Tolkien. Honestly, you do NOT get any better than The Chronicles of Narnia. I especially like the Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe. (That may or may not be related to the play . . . :) Amazing fantasy.

Discovered this as an adult. I can't think how many times I've reread it over the past 40 years!

This is now one of my favorite books. This was an OUTSTANDING fantasy series by C.S. Lewis. The imagery that he used to describe Narnia was breathtaking, the battle scenes were described in vivid detail, and you could really connect with the characters. Forget the Harry Potter series! Pick up the Chronicles of Narnia if you want a story full of adventure, wonder, and humor.
