Ok, good, fine, little slopy around the edges, but not bad.

I liked this fiction cartoon DVD. It is good for all ages. The story is unrealistic; but, it is fun. A hilarious comedy about the lives our pets lead after we leave for work or school each day. Max, a terrier, has his favorite-pet status turned upside-down when his owner takes in a stray named Duke.

This adventure/comedy animation film is directed towards children, and is about a pair of dogs who are out for a walk one day when a group of angry cats attack them and they end up in a truck that is heading to the dog pound. While there, they meet a bunny named Snowball who convince them to join his gang of animals that are mad at humans for leaving them astray. The movie had a lot of famous voice actors such as Kevin Hart, Jenny Slate, Louis C.K., and Eric Stonestreet which bring this movie to life. It is definitely more appealing to a younger audience, but it has some funny moments that older people can enjoy. I would rate this movie 4/5 stars.

When I heard about this movie, I expected it to be really good but personally, I did not like it very much. I did not really understand because I did not understand the storyline too much. It wasn't really creative in my opinion. But other than that it was ok. The animation in this movie was good too. I think that little kids would enjoy this movie a lot. It was funny, with some little action. I totally recommend this movie to little kids aged 3-12. I give this movie a 3 out of 5 stars.

Max and his owner are living the life.. until Duke, a dog from the pound arrives. Max and Duke get caught up in a whirl of events which takes them farther and farther away from home. Oh what a laugh it was to watch The Secret Life of Pets. If you're looking for a hilarious, lighthearted and fun-filled family movie, this is the one for you. Props to Illumination for their wonderful animation in this film. I was definitely giggling and snorting all the long of the movie. Additionally, The Secret Life of Pets has a great meaning behind it; always be open and never judge a book by its cover. Overall, The Secret Life of Pets is a great movie to watch with the family that also includes a variety of diverse genres that everyone will enjoy. Rate: 3.5/5 stars.

I really hope that my dog has a great time at home with her little daily routines like the pets in this movie. Adorable family film.

Could not hold my great grand son's attention.

Terrible movie for kids. The few creative gags (most of which show up in the trailer) hooked us in so the movie could deliver its offensive message of disrespect, violence, gangster classism and racism. Shame on the producers for wasting creativity on this ugly story, shame on the library for placing this on the children's shelf.

Loved the animation and writing... good movie. The "flushed pets," were a nice touch. Dana Carvey is hilarious as the old paralyzed Bassett hound.

Very cute movie. Kevin Hart does a hilarious job of playing a crazed bunny rabbit. Great film for the whole family!

The smitten Gidget:
So what it looks like, Max?
-Brown and white, he has short hair. Very handsome, flickering in his eyes ..
Max, disappeared. He's out there somewhere. Lost, frightened, very very handsome .. We must find and bring it home.
Come on, Max did not even know you're alive.
-I do not care. I love him. I love him with all my heart. And I'll find Max, and I do not care who will participate.
Listen, this is my opinion. Maybe there's a dog in the neighborhood that are similar Max. Begin acquainted with them, after a while you will forget him.
You know that little dog?
-He is my friend. And some say he was my boyfriend.
Nobody said that.

Who are you?
-Huh? Who are we? Who are we? We are pet waste. Discarded by our owner, and now we want revenge! It's like a club, but with violence. (alternate: Who are we? *Who* are *we*? We are the Flushed Pets. Thrown away by our owners and now we are out for revenge! It's like a club, but with biting and scratching. )
Take us with you.
-I do not think so, Pets! Yes, you smell like a pet. You choose your side, and now you regret it.

Listen, this is my opinion. Maybe there's a dog in the neighborhood that are similar Max. Begin acquainted with them, after a while you will forget him.
-We will not give up, we are dedicated, we are loyal, we are the best pets. We are a dog!
-- Cat.
-- Eagle.
-Congratulations! Today you are a dog, whether you like it or not.
