Released in 1967 - This self-titled musical offering would be the Doors' debut studio album. This disc contains all 11 tracks from the original album plus 3 bonus tracks. The song "Light My Fire" was a huge hit for the Doors and it instantly catapulted them into rock'n'roll mega-stardom.
I am a longtime huge Doors fan .this is such a classic album and as a music lover or muscian you have to be amazed on how good the songs and production are it sounds fresh not dated. a i have read in lots of Doors & Jim Morrison books that it was recorded in a week.albums today take months and years to finish.and the music today is not quality like the 1960's. besides hits like Light My Fire and Break On Through there are gems like Take It As It Comes I Look At You End Of The Night and of course The End one of the greatest debut albums ever.
"The Doors" was their first and best record album. Although made in the 1960's, it sounds as fresh today as then. There just isn't another group to compare with the Doors. The record was just like the song "Light My Fire". It exploded onto the scene and has been a great rock album ever since!
