With the same wicked humor, buoyant charm, and optimism that have made her Shopaholic novels beloved international bestsellers, Sophie Kinsella delivers a hilarious new novel and an unforgettable new character. Meet Emma Corrigan, a young woman with a huge heart, an irrepressible spirit, and a few little secrets:

Secrets from her mother:
I lost my virginity in the spare bedroom with Danny Nussbaum while Mum and Dad were downstairs watching Ben-Hur.
Sammy the goldfish in my parents’ kitchen is not the same goldfish that Mum gave me to look after when she and Dad were in Egypt.

Secrets from her boyfriend:
I weigh one hundred and twenty-eight pounds. Not one eighteen, like Connor thinks.
I’ve always thought Connor looks a bit like Ken. As in Barbie and Ken.

From her colleagues:
When Artemis really annoys me, I feed her plant orange juice. (Which is pretty much every day.) It was me who jammed the copier that time. In fact, all the times.

Secrets she wouldn’t share with anyone in the world:
My G-string is hurting me.
I have no idea what NATO stands for. Or even what it is.

Until she spills them all to a handsome stranger on a plane. At least, she thought he was a stranger.

But come Monday morning, Emma’s office is abuzz about the arrival of Jack Harper, the company’s elusive CEO. Suddenly Emma is face-to-face with the stranger from
the plane, a man who knows every single humiliating detail about her. Things couldn’t possibly get worse—Until they do.

Baker & Taylor
After the worst day of her life, Emma Corrigan spills her darkest secrets to a stranger on an airplane, but when he re-emerges in her life, she will have to face the things she said to him, and her growing feelings for him.

4+ Stars

After hearing that the movie based on this book is in pre-production, I wanted to get it read soon. This was definitely an enjoyable read with some true lol moments. As per typical Brit lit, the story doesn't just focus on the impending romance, but also on multiple varying secondary characters and dynamics that surround the protagonist. In this case, it's Emma and her friends, family, and co-workers. Not to mention, a high profile hero to her heroine. There may haven been a few romantic fiction clichés and some points where the story dragged a bit, but overall I had fun and was pleased with the cinematic ending.

In addition to reading the ebook, I also listened to a large portion on audio and was entertained by the exceptional narration.

Fun and girly quick read. Great for read for the beach or poolside.

There's just something so natural and so human about the insecurities and then the delusions of Emma. and though this might be a comic story first, this was a very cheeky romantic romp for me.

This book is a really good for kids who keep secrets, because it teaches you not to keep them. It will cause a lot of problems between people, you should keep secrets from anyone; not your parents, friends, or your boyfriend. If you keep a secret from them, everyone that you kept it from will probably not to you ever again.

A patron review from the Adult Summer Game: "This book was funny and hard to put down. Sophie Kinsella created a very likeable main character in this book."

Another awesomely witty novel by Kinsella! Filled with humour, romance and the slight awkward moments, I highly recommend this novel. Moral of this story: keep some secrets to yourself!

Quirky... Entertaining... Plenty of 'laugh out loud' situations. I recommend it :)
