When this book arrived from the bookmobile, I realized I'd read it when it first came out. Usually Stabenow's mysteries, however the horror of the subject matter, aren't too horrible to read. This one, however, was beyond my tolerance level, and I just couldn't bring myself to reread it. It does have all Stabenow's trademark virtues: her detective's attractions, well-drawn continuing characters, fast pacing, gorgeous writing, Alaska's beauty. If your stomach is stronger than mine, you may enjoy it more than I did.
