#Ownvoices: Picture books celebrating diverse stories.

#OWNVOICES books are written by authors who share a marginalized identity with characters that they're writing about; across race, ethnicity Indigenous Nations, language, gender, sexuality, ability-impairment, class, religion, etc. This emerging movement in Children's Lit encourages more authentic cultural representation in the publishing world and empowerment of diverse authors, diverse stories!
